Quality Saddle Mules and Horses For Sale and Training Available
I am located in Burns Oregon. I enjoy, and specialize in training mules and horses for trail and ranch work.
I use an easy approach and gentle techniques, always moving at the animals own pace.
The animals I train are exposed to all sorts of objects including water, bridges, ropes, cattle, etc. I want the animals I work with to accept new situations with calm interest.
The mules and horses are also taught basic reining maneuvers such as leg yielding, two tracking, side passing, stopping on a loose rein, turn backs and backing with a light touch and easy feel. I teach control of the hindquarters and shoulders as well as the head and neck.
I've been around horses and cattle nearly all my life.
In the early 90's, I went to a mustang adoption where a man named Bryan Neubert was giving a demonstration. I was very impressed by the way he took a mustang, (never before touched) and had him haltered and saddled within a few hours with hardly any fuss.
Ever since, I have attended several of Bryan's clinics, learning and using these same kinds of methods and tecniques.
After moving to Oregon, I was invited to go on a pack trip which introduced me to mules. I became fascinated with their unique traits. In fact, I became so interested in mules, I stopped team roping and sold my rope horse and immersed myself in working with mules. Now I primarily ride mules and use them for ranch, trail, roping. I train my mules to be reliable willing partners in the mountains, on the trail, or wherever you would want to enjoy your mule.
I have been raising and training for some time now and have my facility in Burns. We now have an indoor arena for year round riding and training. I am accepting mules and horses for training.
